support in order to denounce the difficulties to 
achieve a cinematographic project in Belgium.
The rivalries between the cast members, the excesses 
and the frustrations will slowly lead him to a 
surrealistic disaster.

Guy Maddin flys to Kansas City, Missouri, 
in a vain attempt to save cinema as it continues 
to die from contempt and neglect.The tongue-in-cheek project, 
is shot in classic Maddin style, which is to say 
silent and on high-contrast black-and-white film. 
The story? Well, it begins in a Winnipeg bar 
where filmmaker Guy Maddin (played by, yes, Guy Maddin) 
reads a newspaper article declaring the death of cinema 
in the United States. He decides to ride — or fly — to the rescue.
Shot in black and white 16mm film 
and narrated by mega underground icon, Lydia Lunch.

The Girl in the Red Dress

A man has only three minutes to explain to his 
angry girlfriend why he missed her sister's engagement party. 
He weaves the perfect excuse, save for one little detail.
A far-fetched tale is the basis of a comedy told through flashbacks. 
Creative sight gags and quick pacing allow the audience 
to become immersed in one man's wacky journey to find his 
estranged father and take out the trash. Starring Ciro Altabás.
Ciro was born in Zaragoza, Spain in 1977. He has studied filmmaking 
at Universidad Europea de Madrid, the London Film School 
and UCLA. He currently lives in Madrid.

a gas station. But the tape is running backwards and step by step
